Tartan Counseling, LLC is my private outpatient mental health practice serving adolescents and adults in Wheaton, Illinois and surrounding communities.
I help people make sense of their experiences, clarify what matters most, and move forward with intention. Life can feel fragmented — pulled between expectations, transitions, relationships, stress, faith, work, and family. My work focuses on helping clients integrate those pieces into something more coherent and purposeful.
I provide individual psychotherapy for anxiety, depression, ADHD, emotional regulation, life transitions, identity development, relationship challenges, stress management, and performance pressures. My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), values-based work, and practical skill development tailored to each client’s needs.
The name “Tartan” reflects my belief that a life is woven from many threads — experiences, beliefs, strengths, setbacks, relationships, and hopes for the future. Therapy is not about erasing difficult threads; it’s about understanding how they fit into a larger pattern and choosing the direction of the weave moving forward.
My goal is to create a space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to take meaningful steps toward the life they want to live.
